HAN Ishu was born in 1987 in Shanghai and moved to Aomori, Japan. Han began his artistic practice in high school and finished his MFA in 2012 with a major in intermedia art at Tokyo University of the Arts. With sincerity and sometimes humor, Han speaks to viewers through multimedia such as installation, photography, paintings, and video, in which he uses his own body to perform.
